One of the attributes of this feeder is the generous 12" diameter dome. Having a dome of this size enables the feeder to feature a 8-1/2" tray, which is fully sheltered from the elements. This tray has a capacity of just over one quart! Vista-Dome features an adjustable distance between the dome and feed tray. This allows you to limit the access of undesirable birds or squirrels. This type of feeder allows a virtually endless variety of foods to be offered; seeds, nuts, suet and even meal worms. The tray and dome are molded of UV stabilized polycarbonate - the strongest plastic available. The hanging rod is stainless steel and the remainder of the hardware is solid brass. Although this feeder is usually hung, if preferred, it can be post mounted.
